Is that a spearer or a smasher?

i call Sherman and he pokes his head out from the crabby shack it hears or feels the vibration of my voice close to the tank
i'm saving up to get some nano tank led's and then i can move some corals in there and give him a real environment
i think i may have another in the main tank because i bought 6 small green chromis and the next day i had 2......they just evaporated....no change in tank conditions to indicate 5 dead fish sooooooooooooooooo i'm guessin
Can you keep 2 in the same tank?

Mine eats any kind of meaty food. Mysis, krill, plankton, etc. I also have an abundance of HH snails that are procreating like crazy, so I drop a couple a week for him. He is in my sump obviously.

I am not an expert, but I doubt he killed fish, especially that many. Mine will only kill when hungry, and that would be a couple of dwarf cerith snails every other day or so. N. Wennerae is one of the smaller species, and from what I can tell, should be fine with fish. Maybe possible conflict with other sand dwellers if anything. These only get about 3" long; not the 12" beasts you hear the horror stories about.

More than likely the fish were stressed from the move, water quality was possibly low from the additional fish (possible higher levels of ammonia?), and they were bullied either by each other or by other tank mates.

not unless you luck out with a M/F pair of the same species. and i know only certain species are monogamous so i would absolutely advise against it... Now if you are familiar with Kharn's system, he has his tanks split with an acrylic or egg crate divider, allowing for 2 mantis' to be kept in the same tank

tank seemed fine but they were little tiny things

my husband thinks my pink shrimp gobie ate them but i argue his innocence.
probably just stressed and too little to make the tank have any ammonia problems
    my tank is pretty stable
nice to see someone that knows about these critters.....i can't believe how much i like this little dude
