I have recently started a marine planted tank. This picture is old and the large green plant (Fucus spiralis) in the middle did not do well so I removed it. It now has a lot more rock work on the middle and the right. It is sloped from bottom left to upper right (/). The new rocks have Chondrus sp. (Irish Moss) on them. I have also added Codium fragile and some more Agardhiella (red grassy stuff). All macro's are collected locally. I will add new pics when I get some myself (need to get my brothers camera over to my place). It has really started comming together. It looks a lot bigger when there is more stuff in there. I've also added a black background finally. You can read about this tank on my 3reef blog.

    More pics soon (hopefully!)

    ah Codium.
I did a similar thing a few years back... there is a lot of rockweed growing out in San Francisco Bay. Are you keeping the temp down or can it handle higher temp?

The temp stays at 70 degrees with no chiller or heater. I finally got some new pics, here they are. The fish picture is the Cunner that I caught, the Northern Puffer is also in there as well as the Hippo Tang that Im holding till we find it a better home. The cunner has finally started coming out more often. He was very shy the first two days, but now I see him regularly. Its behavior now reminds me of a wrasse, but Im not sure how its related, I will definitly be doing some research to see how its related to wrasses.
