I set this 30 gal FOWLR up for my Mom a while back. It started off as a 10 gallon with just 2 clowns a few years ago to cheer my Mom up after my Dad died.

She has LOVED this hobby ever since.

It's cute, she'll call me when the power goes out because she doesn't want to lose her fish. I'll walk her through the power outage, but it's just cute how she has become like many of us ;)

I take care of the tank, she feeds the fish. It's at her house, but I do a 3 gallon water change every month. I'm keeping it FOWLR so it's easy for her. But I will say, I'm so tempted to put LED lights on it to make it a reef, haha.

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
What a nice thing you did for your mom. I think that is really fantastic.

The fish look healthy and wow look at all that coralline algae.

Some Kenya or and Xenia would probably make it a jungle.

Nice tank, you should definitely do the lights, twin tube t-5 would be enough for a zoa garden and she would probably love it.

Thank you all! She loves it a lot! She's always telling me she doesn't want anything to happen to her clowns. And her female jumped out last month. The smaller clown is new, he's been in for about a month already.

I wish I could get my rocks that purple. Now for some corals! Most soft stuff is very hardy and likes dirty water. Some zoa's or a colt leather would add some great color to the tank. Heck even some Ricordia would look neat on the sand bed and are very inexpensive.

If your handy you can make a screen top for about $15-20 dollars with some stuff from the local Home depot or Lowes. Just made one for my 40 Breeder. Keeps the carpet surfing to a minimum

yes, the thing that stands out to me is the coralline....just monthly water changes is all you do? Great job with doing that for your mom!
