Just got home from my first class today and saw my Naso Tang stuck on the Koralia intake. I doubt that it could get stuck on there because it is a pretty strong fish and was like five inches long. I did see some white spots on it, but I'm pretty sure those are from the skin changing color when near rocks. Maybe it was ich instead?

My Clown, Green Chromis, Canary Blenny, and Mandarin seem fine. I have to go back to class so I don't have time to test the water.

He was definitely our favorite fish. My Mom loved its yellow lips and my Dad liked how it swam around giving the take some movement.:bigcry:

Aw, Im sorry for your loss. Definitely check your params. Did it have white spots before it died? Or only after?

Sorry about your loss. I personally think your tank is way to small for a naso, no matter how small the fish it self is. They can stress pretty easily

tank still may be a little to new for a Naso that would be my guess, Hey I have been tied up for a week or so but how are the Dolphins doing this yr so far ? I saw they beat the Patriots LOL And wearing a Dolphins shirt up here in their back yard gets some fuguly looks from the Local natives LOL As long as they beat the Patriots and Jets I'm happy LOL .

heres what you'll read most of the time.they get over 17 inches.Minimum Tank Length/Size:
A minimum 60 gallon (227 liters) will work temporarily for a juvenile as they are rather slow growers, but an adult will need a minimum 125 gallon (473 liters). Keep in mind that too small of an environment can stunt their growth and they can develop 'behavior problems'.

It was not the tanks size :) I love the people who scream about a tang needs a 150 gal LOL at least I think my 180 would be far to small the handle the 6" or 7" I have in it now . I have heard the big fish tails for yrs and yrs . I have a Hippo here now brought 100 of them in 1999 for 1.60 ea. thumb size this one spent 2 yrs in a 125 then 4 yrs in a 750 gal tank then the last few here in a 180 I have heard it said they can reach 22" in the ocean LOL It may be hand size now .. How many of you guys ever raised a tang to 17" in your home aquarium ?
What I have found over the yrs is a fish will seldom out grow the space. I'm think like this hippo if it where back in a 750 and given 10 more yrs it may hit 12" or so .. My Sail fin here is about palm or hand size he was like a coffee cup size when I got him 7 yrs ago it has grown a little its never been in anything but a 90 with a blond Naso and Yellow and Shoal and a orange shoulder tang , they where together for several yrs then they all went into the 750.
