Dunno yet... just took some water to be tested to my lfs and he found that there is a slight spike in the amonia... doesn't show on my test strips, so I will wait another 3-4 weeks before adding any other lifestock.
Do you have urchins? Are they compatible with a reef set-up?
Would love to hear your opinion on this.... don't know much about urchins, never had one before. So what are the benefits?

im new to reef keeping so i have no idea how reef safe they are. i just think they're awesome looking. my LFS has a couple black spine urchins with that orange center. they look awesome. i have no idea how much of a pain they are or anything. i know they're good for algae but so is many other species of creature we can put in our mini-ocean.

    liveaquaria.com says its reef compliant:

Temperament: Peaceful Reef Compatible: Yes Water Conditions: 72-78° F, dKH 8-12, pH 8.1-8.4, sg 1.023-1.025 Max. Size: 10" Color Form: Black, Blue, Green, White Venomous: Yes Diet: Herbivore

my lfs has 4 of them for sale for $15/ea. i had considered getting one for the 'wow' factor.

That's very wise .... I once even posted a thread about it... it is just imperative when dealing with corals...

My sandsifter starfish just came out... doesn't happen that often, so I thought, I'd post a pic. All others are doing great but I will wait for another 3 weeks to add some more lifestock... for now only my two baby Chromis, a coral banded shrimp, 4 snails and the starfish... Always better to wait. I really want to make sure my parameters are stable. I think the next ones might be my clowns...
