    Hmmm.. well you have a decent sized tank. I'll let someone else speak to this as my Tang experience is limited to Kole, Powder Brown and Hippo...


    I personally would think that is realistic... but I've heard/read descriptions that say 'several' times a day. Not sure what that translates too.

    anybody with experience with a sailfin tang (desjardini) in a reef?

    My lfs has one and it's very beautiful and would fit with my "color scheme".... so any experience with that tang and the tendency to get the itch? :confused:

    my chromi is still not to be found. bummer! Well, today I will go to my lfs and might get that blue or sailfin tang.... we shall see....
    btw.. the tank has been cycling for 6 months now and the mushrooms, shrimp and clowns seem very happy!!

    Sorry to read about your chromis! That's a bummer. Those fish seem to be really hit or miss with regards to health and longevity. Glad your other tank inhabitants are happy and healthy!

    Thank God they are all doing great this morning... the yellow tang and the pink hammer branched coral (Euphyllia Ancora).

    yellow Tangs are one of my favourite fish , really hardy and parasite resistant IME when compared to other members of the Tang family

    Thanks so much Steve, that's exactly what I thought and he is doing great! Love my new additions but again will take my time for the next ones.... :)
