I will post a new pic later.... when it comes to feeding the hammer, I've been giving him a mix of spirulina and brine shrimp.... didn't really research it so any recommendation are welcome but he is doing great. what is your opinion? And what about the mushrooms? I am not that experienced with corals.....

I'm not either! I have a mushroom and hammer. I haven't fed either - they look great. It's my understanding they collect their nutrients from the water column as well as photosynthesis.

photosynthesis is definitely the major way for them to absorb the nutrients they need, however I found that feeding them a little extra has improved their appearance. I will post some pics in a moment....

Adding some life rock to an existing aquarium

Just wondered what you 'all think.... I want to add some already cycled rock to my tank and am confused about whether I can just add it to the tank or cycle it seperately. Everything else ... all the parameters etc. are after 7 months of cycling very stable. The few fish I added (2 clowns, 1 chromi, 1 yellow tang) and the corals (hammer coral, favia) are doing great. Just a bit concerned about whether adding the rock will start the cycle again....
    Any recommendations?
