Thanks for your comments.... I tried to fix it myself and the guy just programmed everything wrong. So, I am still dealing with my heater issue which he assigned to the wrong plug .... that's how the controller works..... you can program different times for every plug and he still blames ME for having made a mistake. That sucks. I bought a custom aquarium from him ... with optical glass ... and then sold me the fish and few corals but he insists that I "disrespected him". I am a strong woman and always speak my mind, so we shall see... I already looked at another lfs but the selection is very small if not existent. Here you have to order everything and never know what you get ....
So, still ambivilent .... not sure whether I go back to him or use this other guy.
Thank God my other corals seem to be doing ok. The fish are happy too but I don't think that this big change in temperature did much good.
Oh well, but thanks for caring!!

Today the guy got back to me but jeeeeez how can you take such an issue so unprofessional... saying that he is not a fireman and not waiting for my mails every second... never mind. I apologized.....'cause I don't want any headaches and he still owes me the moonlights.... so I shall see. I think the plug for the heater is broken because I programmed it to stay on for 9 hours and it just doesn't turn off... so the tank starts overheating again. I am FRUSTRATED!!!!!!!!

That sounds very frustrating, it also sucks your very limited to lfs and places to buy corals and fish. I wish you the best of luck.

Why would you program the heater to stay on for 9 hours, and not use a temperature probe to turn the heater off and on as needed? On if it's low, off if it's the right temp?

Sorry to hear about all the troubles going on. Glad to hear most of the livestock made it through it though!

Thank ya'll for caring... the heater is supposed to be progammed by the contoller.... but nothing is working right now. So, until this idiot comes to fix it I am kinda stuck..
I did my very best but I think there is something majorly wrong.... Just asked him politely to come and fix the problem. After all, I spent major bucks on this custom tank and the least I can expect for him to complete the project.... still waiting for my moonlights after having ordered in September of last year!!!

Still frustrated... the temperature is fluctuating, so the controller needs to be fixed or maybe just that plug is not functioning. Fish are doing fine... thank GOD and all other corals except for the zoas that I dropped of at the lfs are doing ok. So, I think they all survived this catastrophy!

    Overheated tank

Today the temperature stayed stable however the salinity reading on the controller shows 1.055 whereas my refractometer has been measuring around 1.023-1.024 consistently over the past weeks. This is f... up. The guy doesn't answer my mails and I am majorly upset :angry:
