Just lost another hammer coral.... I will call the lfs and ask for a refund. This is just recilus. Have this expensive acrotroOca controller and its always giving me incorrect readings...... I know my PH was a bit low but added buffer and still my corals are dying. I orderded 3 more corals but will everything is perfect. Btw.my lfs guy did the water change and I am only using RO-water, so I dont understand......
Again, Fish are doing great but some of the corals are dying.

Still upset..... my PH went down to 7.81 and even though I added a buffer, ever since I had this malffuntion of my controller I lost 2 hammer corals and one hippo tang.
So, this lfs guy is obviously incapable. Just ordered the internet module too but the controller keeps showing different reading (i.e. density of 1.024 in the morning and then 1.0117 in the evening). So, I am PISSED!! Paid over 750Euros for this thing and its not working!!!!! Thank God my other fish are doing fine and so are the other corals, however this is just unacceptable and I already bought 3 more corals that are still at the lfs.... but not willing to put them in the tank until everything is ok.
    So, another frustrating day :(

Have you tested your r.o. water for "pollutants" before adding it to your tank? Could be that the membranes need replacing?

Also, have you tested for stray voltage or do you have a ground probe in the tank?

sorry to hear you're having so many troubles. with the controller acting up so much can i recommend you get out your liquid based test kits and start testing regularly till its all back in check?

if the controller is not something you're in "control" of and have no ability to maintain (i.e. fix) without the help of the LFS owner, if he goes out of town for a month your tank could crash because the controller went out of whack. it sounds like something id try to get my money back on and look into a different setup and go back to basics for now with test kits. i know its a pain in the butt to do, but i wouldnt rely on a faulty piece of hardware to maintain my larger investment that is within the display tank.

id also go with amcarrig on checking the source water to make sure the LFS guy gave you water that was at 0/TDS had all other params at 0. was it premixed with salt and such? did you pre-test the salinity to make sure it matched your tank before it went in. i dont know why your salinity was showing 1.024 in the afternoon and 1.011. thats a huge drop. im sure you can verify the probes faultiness with a refractometer or hydrometer.

again, sorry you're having such a headache recently with this.

I agree, check the water from the LFS. You are trusting them that it is good, but it could be bad.

I'm really sorry about your trouble!!

not sure if this is true or not but someone once told me if u have other electronics around it,it messes with some kind of field(my guess would be magnetic or static but im not a science guy so i dunno)ie tv,remote controlls, things like that, and the probes missread/calculate things

Thanks ya'll for your concern.... today everything is f... up. My fish are dying and so are my corals. I am P...d. So, this guy better come out here and fix the problems. I have done NOTHING wrong and all of a sudden ... after the water change... which he brought from the store, everything went downhill. So, my 8 corals are gone and the only fish that survived so far is my green cromi and my clowns.
Sad, sad and very upsetting day!!!
