Well, the cycle is progressing. Ammonia is coming down, Nitrite is going up. And, as an added bonus, it no longer smells like low tide in my fish room - which is nice. :)

No, it was pretty clean when I got it. I did rinse it in clean water before putting it in the tank...but since I needed to cycle the tank anyway...figured I would let it cure and cycle at the same time. I did that with my last tank as well, and it worked out nicely for me.

I'll try to post some this weekend. I am taking it really slow with this tank. I have added a clean up crew, 6 itty bitty little Green Chromis, 1 royal Gramma, and a small Hippo Tang. I also put a cutting from my cabage coral from my 65 in there and about a dozen green button polyps from my 65. So not a lot to see yet. I have been dosing with Kent Tech A and B and keeping my CA and Alk up, so the rock is really getting coated with Coraline now, and I am getting some cool stuff out of the rock (feather dusters, etc).

Tank is doing great though, and all parameters are within check. In the next 2-3 weeks I will be adding more corals and fish so the pictures will have more to show then.

I am normally not a patient person....so it is taking a lot of restraint to take this tank slow. But I want to do it right. It also helps that for whatever reason I have been majorly busy with work this quarter and on the road traveling pretty much non stop. So that really just leaves time for maintenance.
