Here are some updated Pictures. Nothing too exciting yet - really trying to take it slow.

Here is a full shot of the tank. Note that I have not started to add corals yet - other then a few soft coral cuttings from my 65. Mainly I am letting the tank Cycle, and the Live Rock get established.

Here are a couple of the new fish - a Kole Tang, a Hippo Tang, and a Royal Gramma

Okay, well, I need to do an update on this thread I know. I ran into a few issues with this tank...I had a fish die when I was on the road for work...by the time I got back and realized it, the damage had been done. The tank was pretty new at the time, and it threw it back into a cycle.

It has taken me about 3 months to get it back in shape, and I will be posting pictures soon. I have made some major changes to the tank based on this experience as well.

First, while the design I had in place was cool visually, it had some serious flaws from a sustainability perspective. The base rock that I used to support the arch had too much of a foot print on the bottom. It impeaded water flow, and was hard to clean around. Also, by zip tying the rock together it made the reef too tight, and thus there was not enough flow in and around the rocks. Based on the above, I dismanted the reef structure and rebuilt it in a more traditional reef fashion...but I left a lot of space in between rocks, etc, so there is no one spot in the tank that is stagnant anymore. It looks great in the new formation I think....though I do miss my arch.

Second, I did not have nearly enough flow into the tank and through the sump. So I added a second return pump, so there is now one per overflow. That has made a huge difference.

Anway, I'll post pictures soon. There is not much to see from a coral perspective yet...but now that the tank is stable again, Ill be stocking up over the coming months.
