Well, I am sure the house will feel a little empty at first without her, but congrats on getting an excellent deal!
As inwall said, running carbon will completely eliminate that beach smell. Get everything running again, and start browsing CL for a bigger tank to use as a sump.

But here is a pic. Did the aquascaping in the "dark" becasue the saranwrap over the sand thing didnt work...haha

I planned on doing some things but i think it turned out pretty good for the circumstances. I was going to go for 3 islands, or one big tall one to the the right and a smaller longer "ridge" to the left

 

Yea the smell is completely gone one day after putting the carbon in the DT until the sump is up
