i will start off by saying that pics are coming. as soon i can figure out how to load them on here. also don't have a good camera so i will be using my new phone. just wanted to get my apologies out the way before luna gets me. my tank is about 7 weeks old parameters are: ph 8.2, kh 11, phos 0, nitrate 0, temp, 79-constant, cal 460, so everything perfect right? well i received my new skimmer yesterday (Aqua C Urchin) washed it out real good, but no foam yet. i know gonna be a few days. i hadn't done any test for phos or kh yet b/c i didn't have those test kits until yesterday. i was surprised how clean my water was without any skimming.

my question is how do you deal with all the loose debris floating in the water collum. my overflow doesn't seem to get it all out. i had to put my old emperor hob with the dual bio wheels removed ofcourse to help get all the suspended crap out of the water. now, i will tell that i made the mistake of purchasing lr online. it is premium fiji that i got onsale. by the time it got here there was alot of die off. my girlfriend and i both scrubbed those rocks before we put them in there but by the time i turned on the koralias crap was everywhere. my cuc is doing a good job so far cleaning what's left on the rocks, and they are starting to look good. that reminds me i was wondering if everyone get a little die off when it comes to snails and crabs. my two emeralds seem to be doing fine in my 55 but i could never keep them alive in my 6g nano.

ps. i will load some pics as soon as i can. also can someone give me some instructions on how to load pics, and reference someone's quote

Your skimmer will help with the debris when it gets going. The HOB will of course work also.

You can get a little die off on the crabs and snails, it seems natural due to shipping.

You can post pics from your PC by using the go advanced button and clicking on the manage attachments. Navigate to your photo file and click on the photo you want. You can also post to online photo sites and reference back in your post.

Click on the quote button in the post you wish to reference.
