My new 72 gallon bow

    I just set it up today and now i start the long wait for the cycle to be over so i can get some life in here....

    Learned from the mistakes I made on my 20 gallon and now it will be go slow....

    Here is a pic of it now and i will update its progress over the coming weeks

    Good luck :) I know it is tempting but it is a defiant must to be patient, it will pay off in the end ;)

    first day and you can see the inside of the tank? im impressed. mine was cloudy for a long time, couldnt see past the glass. woke up one morning and it looked as if there was no water in tank. this hobby teaches all of us one thing

    good thig i have that person on retainer..... btw the timers i got didnt work so i am off to get new ones today...

    and yes triz you do some good work thanks

    had to readjust the powerhead tilts they were blowing the sand to bare glass in some places... see if they work where they are now

    Well it has been 1 week and this is how it looks. I am guessing my cycle has started by the look of the rock.

    Test results are:

    PH- 8.0
    Nitrites- 0.0
    Nitrates- 0.0
    Amoninia- 0.0
    Salinity- 1.024

    I know i am missing some test just dont own them yet
