Well, after collecting advice from many posts here on 3reef, i've finally got some work done on rebuilding my crashed out 75 gal system.

I've tried to correct as many noob mistakes from my first go round as i could, so now i'm going with
    - internal overflow (gla@@holes)
    - closed loop for circulation with oceans motions 4way
    - diy stand so i have room to work under the tank and can put in...
    - bigger sump (30 gal) with bubble trap dividers and stand for my asm skimmer
    - tunze osmolater for ato control

here's a few pics of what i've got done so far
first couple show the stand with some plumbing getting towards done
next is my tank with a total of 9 holes drilled - thanks to g-holes cheap bits!
last is my old fuge tank with diy acrylic water reservoir for ato on the bottom.

Like that stand! What did you use to skin it? Are those doors pine slat build? Very nice:)

got a little more work done - some of the plumbing, and got the baffles set in the stand - talk about a sloppy silicone job.

got done plumbing the closed loop and the sump return finally.
getting the oceans motions to fit inside the stand was a real PITA, but thanks to a bunch of true union ball valves it's in there. i did manage to break the connector for the ground wire while i was moving the OM in and out to size everything. got that fixed, and took the motor off the OM for the rest of the plumbing assembly, then put it back on at the end - wish i had seen that suggestion before.

these pics show the OM as i've plumbed it, then the back of the tank showing the CL returns and the 2 sump returns to the top corners, then a shot inside the stand, and then the DT with the 2 CL returns blowing from the back of the tank and 2 set up to shoot in from the front.

i just have to get some 1.5" fittings so i can finish the drain lines.

still have to nuke my old rock... i don't think this tank's going to be really going till the end of summer!
