My new additions! pics added!!

just today i purchased two fairly large trumpet coral frags from my local lfs neptunes. their stuff is so expensive so it costed me an arm and a leg to get these.

last time i was there they had expensive prices they had a small frag of birdsnest for 25 dollars, only about half an inch tall. but now they said they increased their prices because their supplier did, so now each sps frag is 45 dollars a piece.

the two frags i got were 45 and 50 dollars each but he cut me a deal for 30 each. they are just trumpet coral but they look sweet under the led's

Sounds like our LFS.. (they are the only one in town.) ~2.5" staghorn frag cost me 50 bucks..

 

Sorry to hear about the price hike. That really sucks. Supply and demand can be hard on the economy. Have you checked craigslist to see if there is anybody in your area selling frags? That is where I get some of mine.

Hard to say from the pics, you might have a candy cane and a trumpet. Most likely two candy canes.

 

oh really? they told me they were trumpets, do they look good? i dont know how to tell if they are doing good i have never had one before, when i first put them in the tank the lighter one had the feeder tentacle things coming out of it but i havent seen them since, on either of them. also i think a few of the heads on the darker one were dead when i recieved them.
