Nems can drive you nuts with the things they do, particularly when they are new to your tank. I have found that all of mine moved around frequently over the first 2-3 weeks until they found a good spot to settle down and feel comfortable. As long as the foot is in good shape and the mouth is closed you are probably ok. That being said, a stable tank that has been up for a year or more is generally recommended before a nem is placed in your tank. Good lighting and not over feeding are important. There are many good threads here if you do a search. Good luck!

Weren't you having trouble with the parameters just a bit ago? Nems need perfect water parameters and strong lighting. Putting a nem in a tank that's unstable is just asking for trouble.

As you move forward, remember that one or two good water tests do not mean that your system is stable. As the word implies, multiple results over several months with consistent readings is what you are looking for. Most new set ups go through "new tank syndrome" which you can read about in several threads in the new member section. Diatom and algae blooms are the norm as a new tank settles in. Unfortunately these things cause issues for anemone and other more sensitive tank inhabitants. The hardest part of this hobby is patience!! Good luck and I m sure you will learn much along the way.
