I don't want to be rude, but saying they tested for "everything" does not answer the question. You should know exactly what is being tested and the result. One person's version of "good" may be very different from another's.

Guitar Man makes a good point. You will find that most people here recommend getting your own quality tests kits and testing frequently, particularly when your tank is new. Over time you will be able to intuitively know when things are not right in your tank but even then you will need to test to help figure out what is going on. This also saves many trips to the LFS and being reliant on others using kits that may or may not be any good. Also you will be testing with the same thing, the same way, each and every time. You will see that in almost any thread where someone has a problem, some one asks for or the poster states exact parameters which is a big help to others to figure out the problem. I certainly hope that you do not feel that peoples responses have beed rude. We really do want to help and want to give you the tools that allow us to help you. If you go to the new member section, there are several great threads that explain a lot of the water testing basics which are very helpful and to which I refer back to regularly. You may find them helpful also. I hope this helps and please keep us posted on your nem, good or bad. Your experience will help us all!

Generally if its foot won't attach, that should be taken as a warning sign of things to come.

    What exactly are your parameters?

If you turn off your PH, it could settle somewhere which when the PH is turned back on, it may not like anymore and then it starts moving all over again.

yea i thought about that so i never turned it off i adjusted the PH though i looked like it was a little too strong of a current for him he was lifting of the sand bed rolling around so now hes fine and the PH is rated for a 35-55 gallon tank i have a 55 now so idk why it would b so strong its not like i had it directly on it
