I use eggcrate/light diffuser all the time for this. My angels go after one another for the first few weeks and get used to each other. The eggcrate will disrupt the water flow less.

    BTW very cool fish!

    thanks everyone...she is a very cool fish;D
Like I said, her red is coming in very nicely. I love her mouth bars...that is the one thing that drew me to the fish. And like I said the males picture looks pretty cool. But I am not going to add anything else for a long while. (anybody who knows me is probably laughing right now)

She is still eating like a little piggy, I feed mainly Rods food, but I do have a mixture of clams, sponge, squid, flakes, cyclopeeze, brine shrimp and mysis shrimp that I occasionally feed. I do alternate Selco and Selcon to the food and provide algea leaves for her and my other fish to nibble on throughout the day. And since I am mastering the art of raising artremia they are also getting that little treat.

She however has developed a touch of ich...very small amount on her fins so I am watching her very closely. No other fish in my tank has it, and she has had it now for about 3-4 days now. As long as she continues to eat I am not overly concerned.

My params remain good. My ph is continual low at 7.8 (something that EVERYONE OF MY TANK DOES), my kH is 8, ca 500, ammonia neg, nitrate and nitrite neg. I did just order the 2 part system so I hope this will resolve the problem as I bet it is the Ph fluctuation that is causing her to have the ich outbreak due to the stress. Just my opinion. The 2 part system is coming Wed so I am excited to give that a try, as I am finding it very expensive and time consuming to dose all the tanks, esp the 135
