Just added a coral beauty to my tank, and seemed fine for a few days. Then its left fin has a white mark around the base, and the fin is not working. The day after it had more white spots on the other side. I think it might be a parasite but not too shure. 55g tank with clown, azure, mandrian, scoter blenny, few snails, pistol shrimp, toadstool leather, devil's hand, few green mushrooms, 60lb live rock. all tests are good. any ideas what this might be.

I had a CB that lasted all of 2 days (it was before I had a cleaner shrimp). It came with some fungus/illness from the LFS. The cleaner shrimp may have saved my blue tang from ich.

I have seen alot of posts suggesting to get a cleaner shrimp with an angel to clean the funguss off of them, seems they are more likely to get sick then other types of fish

JMO, everyone should have a cleaner shrimp.

I second that. Nothing looks as cool as the shrimp riding around the tank on your angel.

Cleaner Shrimp are also good with tangs. Shortly after I got my yellow tang it came down with ich. So I fresh water dipped him, baught 2 cleaner shrimp and he's been ich free ever since. The cleaner shrimp (Bubba Shrimp and Bones) can be seen cleaning my other fish on a daily basis.

They also make a very nice addition to the tank..

    Good Luck:)

    Damaged somewhere in transit??

Fish completely stressed out being added to community tank on arrival at home.

Another reason for a QT tank...even if only give two or three days "minimally" stress-free environment to new critter, before committing to an already stressed fish, to continuous "rush hour" in main tank...:-/

    Good Luck!
