So some of you may know.... and thank you all for your kind advice.... that I had to get rid on my dog Java. If you want the whole story, here it is.

So Java is back at the shelter. She is adjusting well. She sits under the owners desk when she is on the computer just like with me. Since Java had to go back, I sort of felt obligated to rescue another dog. I would not have taken anything, but you know.

Well they had Lopez. Named after the owners last name. Lopez sort of grew on us. I was in no mood to get another dog, but Sammy was bored out of her mind. So after a while we met Lopez.

He is actually straight out of Compton. Came from CA. He is about a year and a half. Bout the same as Java. Really sweet dog. No real manners or training, but he does listen and he isn't a brat. He will pick things up quick.

Sammantha aproves of the new boy in the house. too funny though. Sammy always humped Java, but Jake (his new name) is having none of it. Jake keeps trying to show her what that is all about, but the little Princess just storms off.;D

So far he is a grat dog. Now losses yet... but we will see. He was walking around wit the phone in his mouth today. Dropped it right away... he just doesn't know.

I'll kill him if he chews up the remote though;D. The wife's shoes are no big deal.;D

It was really hard driving away from the shelter. I felt like I abandoned her. But better than putting her down, and the owner of the shelter ids "one of those people". very caring and she will take good care of her. Met her sister too.... just like Java.

We have had Jake for two weeks now... he's really growing on us fast.

I'm so glad you rescued another dog! He is a total cutie!! They seem to be getting along well already and I'm glad he's a sweet and well behaved dog. Life will be much happier, calmer and simpler for you now. Congratulations!!

Thanks guys. Sort of though about keeping "Lopez". It was growing on us, but then I would always have to explain it. He was a stray from Compton. Still not sure how he ended up here. He was a bit fearfull, but not because he was born that way. He has really come out of his shell, and soaks up all the love we can give him.

That's awesome :) He looks like a good fit, already. I wish my dog would tear up my mom's shoes...it'd add some fun and variety to my day :D

I was hoping nobody was going to beat me to that. Oh well:)

Awesome dog PM. Glad he is fitting in with his new family:)

We have been contemplating getting a puppy for a couple years since our last shelter dog passed. We would be getting another lab puppy.

Hopefully I will b be putting a new puppy thread up soon.
