    Hardy, but can be skiddish (especially at first!)

    Be sure you have a good lid as well (sadly, I know this from personal experience :()

    Oh.. yeah they are big time jumpers and can be quite skittish for awhile.

    I'd definitely look at getting some sort of screen top then.

    I used egg crate. Worked for a while (several months actually). Then I went on vacation and had someone else watch my tank. Sadly, my firefish decided to try and fly, and made it through

    Clear mesh lids are easy to make, work great and look nice.

    it was skiddish for a day or two other then that as soon as the lights are on he's out ..... lets just hope i don't find him on the floor before i get a lid
