Hi All, Getting ready to setup a frag thank today or by tomorrow. Just need to get my hands on a Mag 3 pump and waiting for the stain to dry up on my frag tank stand.

Anyone is welcome to jump in and give any advise on my setup, will be appreciate.

Anyway, the reason for my frag tank, is just to keep my hands as much as possible out of my 125G DT. So the frag tank will be a growout for my highend zoa and chalice.

The frag tank is a 15+Gallon Custom Acrylic manufacturer by Advance Acrylics (eBay) Great price and awesome shipping!
Dimension: 20x16x11 RIMLESS FRAG TANK, BLACK BACK, EXT. OVERFLOW

Here some pictures of the new frag tank.

Picture of the external overflow, for more room for the frags. I also bought Black eggcrate to hold the frags, this will be bare-bottom.

The return will be a mag 3 pump, which I will drop in my existing sump on my 125G DT. So the plan is to plumb the frag tank into my existing DT to use the same water, that way I will not concern myself with acclimating, since I will be using the same water if I am moving corals from one tank to the frag tank or vice versa.

Lighting: I have a old 20" Current sunpod with a 14K phoenix in my storage from a few years ago, but I'm seriously looking into getting a 20" Nova Extreme Pro 6 bulbs. Almost 4 years ago I switch to T5 and I doubt I want to go back to metal halide.

This looks like an interesting project Wolverine

plumbed into the existing DT is ideal IMO as it does make transfers real easy
