Hey guys, this is my "new" fresh water tank. I say "new" because it's not really new, but it is the first time I submit pictures of it LOL

Definitely done stocking, however still want to add more plants to it. I wanted to maybe add some dwarf grass to make it grow like a carpet type thing..
    What do you guys think?

Im open to suggestions! let me know!

I'm intrigued by the rock formation.. Can we see more pictures that show it better? Also, suggestion-wise, maybe have something in the back to the right! Like a smaller place or even something on the glass itself, just to make it a little more symmetrical regarding space occupation. Other than that, great tank :)

It's actually very simple really lol It's two rocks next to eachother, then one on top of the two ( in the middle).. That rock is sitting on top of the flat one that's slanted to keep it from falling. and then the other flat one is on top of the two.

Ill take a closer picture tomorrow when the lights are on!

Id really like a carpet type thing on my tank. Ill take a picture of the lights I have. I was thinking I wanted the dwarf baby tears as my plant, but im not sure if I have enough lightning.

Also.. Does any one know of a good website that offers more stuff for a freshwater tank?
Ive been looking at LA, but I can't find that many options when it comes to live plants for a fresh water tank. I don't need fish wise, but more plant wise :)

I have fluval LEDs in this aquarium, rated for 24-36 inch.. A total of 8 Watts. 7500k 500lumens.. This is a 20G tank btw..
is this enough lights to keep a good variety of plants or no?

I want to be able to keep a good mat of baby tear (dwarf).. I am not sure if this lights are enough to keep them however.
I am only able to dose leaf zone for Iron and some other nutrients plus maybe some API CO2... but I can't buy anything fancy.

I may be able to buy stronger lights Marineland Reef Capable LED Lighting System w/Timer: LED Aquarium Light Fixtures

But that's a probably not.. but MAYBE..

Eitherway, please let me know! thanks!

The tank looks great and the scape is just fine. Symmetry is not needs since your planting slopes down from the left to the right.

What is your lighting and how deep is your tank? If you go with very strong lighting your will need pressurized CO2 and will need to dose NO3 and PO4 to keep the algae from taking over the tank.

    I have these
Fluval Eco Bright LED Aquarium Strip Light at PETCO

I wasnt really planning on making it a planted tank, just a regular freshwater tank. However, I kinda started liking the idea, but I can't really afford to get bigger stronger lights and begin dosing pressurized Co2.

I would like to get a bit more plants though.. Im not sure what I can support though

It's going to be pretty difficult to grow a nice carpet of baby tears without good lighting and co2. You can keep baby tears under lower lighting but you won't see much growth. The growth will be sparse and leggy under lower lighting.

But I can maintain them? If they will be able to live, even if they don't grow too much, I could essentially just buy a whole lot of them and plant them all over the tank right? Lol game the system
