    I go to a welders shop and get my 5lb tank filled for $13. last about 6 months for me.

    You will need a high quality regulator for it also and a reactor chamber to dissolve the CO2 into the water.

    Im not sure if it's too much to ask, but could you perhaps tell me what I would need exactly for a 20g and where to get it from?

    It's already sounding too complicated and expensive for the time I will be willing to spend on it. lol

    Go to Green Leaf Aquariums. Get one of their registers, it will run you around $200. Also look at their supply of fertilizers, it will be cheaper in the long run to buy their dry fertilizers. Get a 5lb CO2 bottle from a local welding supply or home brewing supply.

    Reactor will be the interesting one. If you have a canster filter or a pump like used for UG filters you can make a Cerges reactor with a home water filtration housing.
