hi guys, figured i'd give the world of clams a try and bought this golden teardrop maximus clam. I'm most likely short on the watts, but it seems to be doing well.

Nice clam, but remember that maximas are rock dwelling clams and would prefer to be in the rock work, plus you will be able to get him closer to the light... I take it the clam is an ORA?

Unfortunately i have no idea if it's ORA, but i have moved it to a rock. The current is not as strong though.

i put him on a rock and closer to the lights, but it opened up more while it was on the sand. gives me the impression it preferred the sand to the rock.

I have my Maxima on the sand. Whn I put it on a rock it kept jumping off. I finally gave up and put it on the sand. It seems to be doing well there and is growing nicely.
