    Oh that's good to know. I'd never heard or seen a soldierfish before. I will look into the blackbar variety. And easy to keep sounds good to me!

    The preopercle spines (near the gill-opening) of the members of the subfamily Holocentrinae are venomous, and can give painful wounds.

    He is pretty too!! Well I'm definitely going to look into all soldierfish. But I still like my first one best!!

    I have cleaned many a tank with lionfish, scorpion fish, sharks, and a few other dangerous species. I have yet to have anything happen that would be close enough to call a possible oops. You should be fine. It will be more afraid of you and therefor hide in the rocks.
