    Thank you for your e-mail. The Scarlet Fin Soldierfish has venomous spines at the dorsal fin. If these puncture through the skin, it can cause pain similar to a bee sting. Although the venom is not known to be deadly to humans, it can be dangerous to individuals who experience allergies to bee stings.

    Cruuuuud!! Last year I was stung or bit (dunno?) by a hornet or something and I had a horrible allergic reaction and got a deep tissue infection!!! This is not good news to me! But I guess if I wore a thick glove it would be fine.

    Im allergic to bee's so with my Foxface i dread getting spiked.. However. Ive become more calm when he tries to eat out of my hand with the other fish. ITs all about trust!
