So I got my income tax return and the wife suggested an upgrade. We got a 125 gallon and are in the process of setting it up. It is a 6 footer so I went with LEDs. I really like the T-5s I am currently using but changing bulbs twice a year is a bit pricey. I have a friend in town that is going to help me drill and plumb it. I am going to use the 55 gallon I am currently running as my sump. It is going to go slow but I hope to have it up and running by this fall. Wish me luck.

Heads up about the 55 sump(assuming its a standard). Its a turd to work in unless you have a stand 36"+. If you can find a 40b cheap you'd be better off in the long run.

Thanks for the heads up on the 55 gal height issue. Wife picked up a 40 at petsmart during their sell. I got home from work and did some measuring and it won't fit under the stand I have. I have 2 20gal that need to be resealed in the garage. Thinking about using them both. Put a refugium in one and use the other for skimming/reactors.

That'll work, could be an opportunity for a display fuge. How were you thinking of returning fuge water to display?

I also started on the stand. Just need to get the big tank drilled and plumbed.
