Just had to share a couple of pics with you all....

I saw this guy at my LFS about 3 weeks ago and kept thinking about how cool it
looked. Needless to say, I had to bring it home with me yesterday.

No name yet, although suggestions are always welcomed and enjoyed!

These were at feeding time last evening.

    :)

Duly noted, and thank you kind Sir!

I have plenty on hand and will certainly do that. I assume a little squirt from the syringe will suffice?

I just loved the colors on this guy. I have to admit that I have gotten just as attached to my gang of inverts as I am to the fish and corals.

Yep, that's fine. I like it when they stick their "hands" in their mouth and lick the food off their "fingers". mmm, mmm, mmm....finger lickin' good!!!

Now THAT is COOL. I had no idea you could get stuff like that for aquariums.

What's the actual name of the species so I can go research it???

    Very cool.

    Spiny sea cucumber (Pentaca sp.)

they are filter feeders and require periodic fine coral foods and phytoplankton. They, like all colorful echinoderms, can be dangerous if one of your critters picks on them. They eviscerate themselves (fancy way of saying they spit their guts out of their mouth and hope the fish then attack that so they can slowly get away and grow a new stomach). Unfortunately there are toxins in their stomach so alway keep activated carbon on hand in case this happens.
