My new Puffer

Well i picked up a baby porcupine puffer today and he is so cute. I acclimated him for 1 hour, as soon as i put him in the tank my trigger nipped him in the top fin... i was like OMG...so i shut the lights and the puffer found a nice quiet spot behind the outlet of the filter. He's been thier for a while...but i did feed him a live ghost shrimp and he destroyed it within seconds...is it normal for him to hang out in the corner, my water par are good. The lionfish pays no mind so not worried about him. Ill have a video of him up by tonight

 

i'd say just let the lil guy get acclimated and there shouldnt be any problems at all...i always take it as a good sign when the fish is eating

 

ya i was really happy when he ate that shrimp.

nice little puffer u have their, just give him time to acclimate and he should be fine

My GF just bought me a baby porcupine on Sunday. He likes to hide under the submersed power filter in the tank. They are weird animals with a ton of personality. Once he gets to know you and his tankmates, you will see what he is all about.

 

TigerMike- what kind of Clown (I presume) is that in your avatar? I've been curious for awhile now.

 

I'm pretty sure it's a yellow stripe Maroon Clownfish.
