i think i remember you saying this was your first DD purchase. not sure if you know this but DD quarantines all their fish for a month is what i remember being told. i feel its one of the big pluses to buying fish from there.

AND Congrats on your new fish and his safe arrival

Thanks. Yes it is my first DD purchase. I heard the same thing about DD and their QT'ing the fish when they get them but felt it was better to be safe than sorry.

Name? Sorry, I dont name my fish. My daughter might but I dont name them. To hard to flush down the toilet when they die if they have a name. ;D

Careful there; this species doesn't play well with conspecifics (ie- other fairys).

i love DD fish they just seem to arrive less stressed and more tank ready. they normally eat on arrival . i guess they are used to being feed by humans by the time they get to you and its why they take so well to the tank.

Ok here is the lowdown, after watching the fish for 24 hours and making sure it was eating which was not an issue at all, and reading about DD's QT treatments I went ahead and rolled the dice and added him to my tank. He instantly went to checking out everything and all the other fish. I felt getting him into a tank and settled in would be better than him being stressed in a bare QT tank for weeks. Now just to keep a close eye on him and make sure all stays good.
