Here is a picture of my new Rose Bubble Tip Anemone ;D

I just got it last nite.....I took the pic this morning! I think it looks really great AND I gave it a piece of Krill and it just grabbed it right from me and scarfed it right up!

Only thing is....it has decided, at least for now, to settle almost facing the back side of my tank. Oh well, at least it is in a corner so I can see and feed it!

Thanks Scott! I use a Sony Cybershot 5 mexapixel with a 10X zoom lens. I am still trying to learn how to use it in manual focus mode...I lucked out with that macro..it usually likes to focus on a reflection in the glass! >:( ;D

There's lots more pics in my gallery too!!All with that camera

    Birdlady,
About reflection focusing. I'm in no way even a marginal photographer...lol. I found if ya take your pics at an angle to the tank, you will have better luck in getting to focus and much less flash bouncing back to the lens.
    Hope it helps.

That one looks great. Do you have a clown that might make it a home?

Im gonna get one of those next time I order. I wish my lfs did saltwater. She is limited to what she will keep and I cant change her mind. She wont even keep Liverock.

Thanks all! No, I do not have a clown as yet. I want to give the anemone an opportunity to settle into the tank and find a happy place. Plus, it is rather small yet...about 2 - 3 inches across.

I really wanted to keep Perculas or False Perculas but my understanding is they tend not to host in a BTA. :p So I have yet to decide which clown I like.

I think it is more difficult to keep an anemone than a clown so I went for the easiest anemone. I am more confident in my clowning ability.... ;)

Absolutely key to anemone acclimation. Clowns actually can increase the stress of adapting to a new environment.

I like those Yellow stripe maroon ones. A dentist friend of mine has a reef in his office and he has 1. It is a little bigger than the ones I see out there. Seems like the true clowns are smaller. At least the ones I have seen. He has 1 maroon yellow stripe and 1 clown. He said he was worried they would scrap with each other but as it turnes out the larger has adopted the smaller one and chases off all other fish that bother them. the larger has a anomone and the smaller has made a home out of a blanketype soft coral with polyps. They are right next to each other. I dont know the species. His tank is the tank that inspired me. He also raises these awesome little rainforest frogs. They look like little jewles with their black bodies and glowing blue and red and yellow markings. Each frog is only black and either blue or red or yellow. He says they sell for 50 bocks each and keeps them in a octogon style terarium complete with a waterfall and living rainforest. I am thinking of raising them.

Sorry to stray from the subject guys and gals just thought you might want to hear about them :]
