What's this I hear? False percs don't like BTA's? Well, whatever you do, don't tell this little guy :)

Thanks Craig! It only took about a year for me to finally get the hang of my camera. :)

Even though my clown is one of my favorite fish, this will always be my favorite picture. Too bad I lost the goby and the clam when I had to tear down the tank recently to remove a destructive wrasse [smiley=sick.gif]

    Hey Amcarrig!

Glad to see that pic! I had read on some "other" forums that some people got their percs and false percs to host in BTA's but......these same people were also breeding Maroons with Percs..??? Why? I do not know. It is difficult enough to distinguish between some species as it is let alone, mix the bag!!!

I wanted to buy about 5 juvenile tank raised percs or false percs and keep a clown family....any opinions?

    BTW, Great Pics!!!

Hello there BL and congrats on your new anemone! It took my clown about 2 months to take to the BTA and I have no idea what sparked her interest in it. I recently added a smaller perc to be her mate and they paired up within seconds. I expected a little bit of rough housing but it just wasn't happening :)

If you get 5 juvenile clowns, you will end up with one mated pair as they will eventually kill each other off. So, limit yourself to one pair of clowns per tank. Even if you try to mix species of clowns, they will most likely not get along.

Now, this is the first time I've heard of crossbreeding clowns. What other forum did you read that on?
