Just a few pics of what I've seen in the past couple days. Was fine since we got him like a week ago and then a couple days ago its mouth was steady open and not eating. Stayed that way but closed it a bit and now loss of flesh. Any thoughts? All my other brains n trachs are fine. This is the second brain that I bought new from reef empire that dies in less than a month from the same order. Bummed!!
    First night in my tank.

That looks real bad, hope it pulls through. I would have done an iodine dip not FW. FW puts massive stress on the animal that it most likely can not handle. Do you dip the corals when you get them?

Ouch, sorry to see that. I'm not sure a freshwater dip for an already stressed coral was a good idea.

What are your Ca, Alk, Mg, SG, PH & temp parameters?

Is it being stung by other corals? got any favia, euphyllids, or galaxia close by?

I did an iodine dip then the fresh water. How I read to do it but dipping is new to me. As for other coral near it, no. I had it by itself with more than 8inches for the most part around it.

Having check the params yet but i will when I get a bit. Last I checked I had a little nitrates and my calcium was a little high. Everything else was pretty good. This is the second from the same order and not sure if that has anything to do with it. Everything else is fine from that order.

It's too late. After being back in the tank it started to "melt" so it's getting tossed. Just going to take a break from ordering online. Maybe coincidence that they were both from the same order but I'm pissed and that was a decent chunk to flush in less than 2 weeks. Pissed!!!

Your bad luck continues. If you look at the first pic, it somewhat looks like you can see the bone on the top middle.

    How is everything else doing?

That does suck, but I've had nothing but good experience with online ordering as long as the livestock is healthy when it is shipped. It may be something with your water parameters or something. It's hard to tell though, it may be nothing too and it just died. Some corals just do that.
