My new sump setup

    They have this stuff at Home Depot called "gutter gaurd" and it will actually fit right over the baffle and catch any loose cheato. if you check my build thread, I forget what page, one of the first couple, I have a pic of it on my sump. You can cut it to fit.

    Oh CRAP.. I did not think of this. I have a basket in my DIY sump that my drain tube lays in which is wrapped with filter media. Will my pods eventually end up being stuck in this area?

    Well i'm making a trip to the depot tomorrow ! That is a really cheap problem solver. From what I could tell, it looks like egg crate with a clip...it's like...meant to be, totally.:)

    IMO I feel that the larger ones will get stuck and not be able to make it through the system. Every time I clean/ replace my filter sock there are quite a few pods in there.


    Ha ha yes they almost made this with the reefer in mind. I did however remove the screen mesh that is glued to it. Easy to cut to fit your application and It works great IMO. Not to mention super cheap at under $5.
