I received my SWC 120 and just waiting to finish my sump to start using it. I have 2 questions.

    1. What is this? ;D Is this a spare/optional part? It was packed in the collection cup.

    2. I was looking at the pump and noticed the base plate (pump) is cracked. Like was over-tightened during mfg. Feels stable. Should I be concerned?

    Thanks all!

That is the pump pinwheel. It may be an extra or it may just not be in the pump. Open up the output of the pump and check to see if there is one inside. If not than that one will drop right into place with the pins sticking out. If there is one, you got luck and got a spare for free:)

It looks like it should be plenty stable, but I will be sure to bring this thread to C.J.'s attention, so we can make sure it gets taken care of.

The 120's come with the optional pinwheel. The mesh/pinwheel that is installed in the pump is a little different than the optional pinwheel.

Mikejrice- Thanks for looking at my post and answering my questions! :)

I will check the pump and post back.

Sounds good. I will wait to see if C.J. finds the post and see what he thinks of the crack. Feels stable now...down the road is the question.

    Cheers!

Not CJ's fault on the broken part, the problem with this stuff is that the pump has decent weight to it and it it gets dropped during shipping the weight can cause the crack. I'd remove it and crazy glue it back until the new part arrives.

As far as the wheel goes I think you will be plenty happy with the mesh type one in the pump already but keep it as a spare, or play with both :)

    Cheers
    TJ

C.J No worries! I totally agree...not your fault! I figured since I didn't have all the parts needed to finish my sump before I left for vacay...I might as well get the plate fixed. Some places take forever to ship things...you (Elite Reef) however got our shipment out super quick.

Again thanks for the great customer service!
