hot damn thats a fine tank!!! to piggy back off of people saying you'll go through a cycle. If the rock was from an already established tank, you should be golden!! Which i see is true...you are perfect!! Everything looks real nice!!!

    Thanks !
I also purchased a Pinpoint pH monitor and Pinpoint salinity monitor (thank you Paypal/eBay 29% off :p and thanks for www.cultivatedcoral.com to be local too :p)
So I keep my eye out on all the stuff now
By leaving the hood open the temps stay in the 79-80.5 range now
    Nitrite still <0.3
    Nitrate 5
    Ammonia 0
pH varies around 7.98 to 8.12
    Salinity at 1.024

I did buy 2 Peppermint shrimps to help out with my few Ayptasia but one died yesterday already :(

I chose to use the Ayptasia X from Red Sea to remove the 3 biggest ones and wow, they're gone !!!

quick updates, well, I thought one of my peppermint shrimps had died because I found a dead shrimp head, but turns out they're still both alive ! I guess the head came from my old tank (I did have one shrimp just dissapear once, I thought the anemone ate it).
Nitrite is still < 0.3, Nitrate is 2, and ammonia is 0.1 (added some seachem prime to get it back down)
today however when I got back home (was gone for 2 hours) the main pump (2400) was not pumping water thru, I checked it and re checked it and no debris in it, so I opened it to clean it, nothing in there was dirty or clogged, so I put it bag together and same thing, almost 0 pressure. I removed the inlet and looked at the impeller while my wife turned it on for a couple of seconds, and it would just start turning one way, and the other and back and forth like that. I finally got it to turn just one way continuously and it made normal pressure again. Is that normal ? I would hate for that to happen if I was away for a few days !!!

I changed my bulbs from the standard set to 3 x UV 454s, 1 x ATI Blue Plus, 1 x RSM Actinic, and 1 x UV Actinic White. It came out just a bit more blue than before. You can notice a big reduction in the yellowish tint.

BTW, this thread has been dead for a decent while.
