Sorry it took me a while, but it's finally here! My tank was actually installed on 9/11 (only day they had available) by my LFS. Here are the pics from beginning to end. The whole process was great, asked them a lot of questions, still reading my books, taking many notes and this newbie is ready. One thing they preach which I've heard from day one from all of you guys here is PATIENCE!!! I didn't realize how often you need to add water to the sump, seems like the water evaporates fast. I fill it to the suggested line once a day and when I spoke with my LFS they said I could turn the temperature down to 79 degrees, currently I keep it at 82...any suggestions?

I get fresh RO water from my LFS and since dumping it into the sump is awkward I got a little siphon to extract water from the 5 gallon bucket into the sump. I want to get my own RO/DI unit, but since the tank is by my bar I don't know how to do it. My idea was to hook up a unit under the sink, run the hose under my crawl space to the sump. Not sure if that would work, just trying to plan. I also started doing daily maintenance checks like cleaning etc just so I can stay on top of it and keep a good routine.

Since my LFS suggested I add in some cycle accelerant and 3 Red Cronies, they said after 7 days or so I could start adding in fish. I was a little skeptical about this since most of you guys here said to let it cycle for a month. After I mentioned that they said they tried it on two of their 120 gallon tanks they just setup and it worked great. I plan on adding in a couple of bottom feeders shrimp, crayfish etc. may wait another week to add more fish. I plan on changing the water and checking it this week, they said it's gone through a good cycle now. Anyway take a look at my pics in my folder, (their a little out of order but you get the jist) I could only attach 5 at a time on this post, not sure what I'm doing wrong but oh well like I said before I'm still a newbie :)

It's actually not that deep about 3 inches, maybe a little under 3.

Sorry I just added the link for you. You know what's funny my LFS said the same about forums...like I said I take lots of notes and wrote down all the advice given to me in a previous email and I went over every one with my LFS. They basically said the same just read, ask questions and read some more...but I like to get expert advice along with doing my own research it's all for the same goal.

Sounds like a good set-up. I wouldnt add the cycle-in-a-bottle though. And 7 days is WAY too early to add livestock. Count on more like 8-12 weeks
