Can you help me decide on my next fish? I was thinking of either a bicolor blenny, lawnmower blenny, or a yellow watchman goby.

I currently have 2 clowns, a coral beauty, & a fireshrimp. I would like to eventually get a mandarin (maybe).

Our tank is four months old & we have some algae, but it's not bad.

    Your suggestions are greatly appreciated!

Lawnmower would be my pick because he serves a purpose...eating algae and keep the tank clean.

Go different and get a barnacle blenny or a jawfish!

    Thanks for your ideas!

BloodyShirt - Clown gobies are cool....
Otty - Lawnmower would be the most logical choice
getinpora - Thanks for your input!
PL - I don't know a lot about jawfish - are they difficult?

    Thanks!

I have a diamond goby and a lawnmower blenny- both serve a function, but my blenny is more interesting to watch. (His facial whiskers give an "expression", so I always think he's up to something!)

Jawfish are great!! They do have a few different requirements that other fish and that is they need a deep sandbed of at least 4-6" with small snail shells and or pebbles to help them build their burrow, covered top (they jump!!!), and peaceful tank mates. Otherwise very entertaining and definitely my favorite fish!!

Most hardy of the 3 is the yellow watchman. Love the colour also. Lawnmower is not really hardy and I had one that died which by the way was eating.

My vote is yellow watchman or a blenny of some sort. Blennies have a ton of personality...some can get really annoying but they are still too cute to get mad at (I know one that enjoys hanging out in the overflow box (an HOB utube style overflow btw) and he also enjoys nipping on clam mantles. He got moved to the Q tank, and now all he does is stare at the main tank. Poor guy.

What about a wrasse of some sort, like a six line? I love our six line, he adds a ton of color and pep to the tank. They are always moving or doing something.
