I recently started this tank for the wife, I myself have a 210 Gal that will be going up soon. I have everything I need for this project just waiting to move, hopefully just a few more months.
Anyway back to the BioCube, I have just started adding livestock so it's pretty bare. The Mods that I have done are as follows.

    1. I widened the the chambers between chamber one and two. Removed false bottoms in both chambers and have placed heater and Oceanic BioCube Skimmer (not the best but for the price it does just enough) into Chamber 1.

    2. I purchased a media rack from InTank (inTank : BioCube 29). Top rack I have Purigen, middle rack Filter Floss and bottom rack I run Charcoal. All this is in chamber 2.

    3. I have replaced the return pump with a RIO 1100. (NOTE: after widening the chamber between 1 and 2 the Max - Min line on the side of the tank no longer is accurate) the 1100 brings this back into the equation (which I like).

I have not upgraded lighting and I have added a Koralia 1. Other than that everything else is stock.

Here are a few pics, feel free to ask questions or critique my setup. I'm still new so there is a possibility that I didn't get everything right. I also do 5gal water changes once a week.

The first picture of the clowns were the first in the tank, as you can see the anemone has found itself a new home and appears to be happy as it stretches for some light.

Looks interesting. I'm looking to put together a nano tank for my daughter and her 3 kids. The upgrades look right as I like the fuge and trays.
Question: Everyone changes the design of these nano tanks. Is there a tank that's made perfectly? Or, would that be boring.;D

Perfect I seriously doubt, seems like things in this hobby change with the weather. I guess an all in one tank like this would be suitable for some things but not everything. Flow is important so widening the chambers and upgrading to a bigger return creates this and is better for the turn over. Media Tower is just more or less cleanliness and keeps things more organized and the water has to travel through it rather than around or over it. Certain clams and corals do not need intense lighting, so I choose to keep the stock lighting and build around that. I'm not much of a coral keeper but do like the zoos so that is the route I'm taking. When the 210 goes up and I have more space and better lighting then I will have a more diverse tank but as far as this Nano I'm taking the advice of "keep it simple stupid"
And to add simple in this hobby is still EXPENSIVE

I like the 210 gal. Great size tank. My wall only allowed me 5 1/2 feet to work with and a 60" tank is expensive since it had to be acrylic to get 24" depth. I kind of wish I had spent the extra money but I'm just as happy with my tank. I hope you have an easy time with your 210. Good luck. Here's a picture of mine.
