My Official 120 Rebuild (New Fish 12/12/12)

Yea!! You got a tang! I got a tomini yesterday....kind of a rough start since the box was on my porch until I got home from work and it was around 40 most of the day....Knock on wood, seems to have rebounded pretty good and it's nice to have an algae grazing fish again!

 

Mine was in the tank for an hour....I fed the tank a little flake food and he was out and all over it. He is also already picking at the rock. I think he is liking the diatoms which is fine by me. he's a cool little guy. I was going to get a tomini but this little guy just blew me away. Their adult colors are killer as well.

 

I've seen the mimics before and I remember that about them in terms of the coloration. Nice add!

So here he is. Not quite sure of a name yet but I'm sure my daughter will come up with something amazing. Speaking of my daughter, this fish listens about as well as she does. I told him to sit still for a pic and he moved faster....

 

Very cool....update, my tomini didn't make it ...it was awfully thin and the stress of the shipping must have been too much. Note to self - do not order tangs on line.....

 

Awwww I'm sorry. Where did you order the fish. I worked at a LFS for about 2 years and really didn't have that much issue receiving tangs there. The mimic I have came in to the LFS on Tuesday and into my tank on Wednesday and was eating within an hour of being placed in there. Make sure those you order from are reputable.

 

I got it from saltwaterfish.com.....I also got some ricordeas and a small blue dwarf angel (I can't remember the name) and they seem fine....I have a great LFS I go to so I will get any more fish from him. He doesn't stock ricordeas and wasn't planning on ordering any in the near future so that's why I went on line...had free shipping with the rics. I have never ordered fish on-line before, I prefer to see them in the tank and to make sure they're eating......are you familiar with this company?

 

I'm familiar. Did you contact them? I believe they have some sort of guarantee...
