This morning, I was gazing into my tank and I saw a HUGE divot in the sandbed under some of my rockwork. I had no clue that I had left a dent that big under there. So I got to looking and the thing was FULL of gunk. Since I have been battling a bit of cyano I'm under the impression that this may have been on of the sources of fuel for the stuff. I moved the rockwork, vacuumed the junk out of there and moved some sand in. Hopefully, this will not be a collection point anymore.

well....In my attempt to put all of the rock back, I had a huge collapse of my rockwork. Several corals busted off of the rock and some of them got lost due to the cloudiness of the tank. (I have found them) All of the coral that broke off is currently sitting on the sandbed in the front of my tank. I am getting ready to leave for the weekend to go flyfishing on the rogue river. I hope everything is ok when I return. (the house sitter is clueless when it comes to my tank) We'll see when I return!

Have fun! that is one thing I've never done - fly fishing. I love to fish but have never tried it. It looks like it would be great once you get the hang of it. What type of fish do you catch in that river?

On the tank, sorry to hear about the collapse but at least you found something that you corrected. You also get a chance to maybe rescape!

The tank looks awesome. I love the post led color. You can also change out the leds to different ones with some solder if you ever want to try different colors or upgrade. Thats what I love about this unit.

I'm happy that affordable, good quality lighting units like the IT2080 are available for us all. Keep us posted on it.

Thank you for the words. The person I bought the unit from sells the LED's for 1 dollar each. I think I am going to order a bunch from him, several of each color and do some playing. Right now, I am up to 95% on channel 1 and 85% on channel 2 for 4 hours per day with ramp up and ramp down on each side. I really do love this fixture. It has some great features, especially for the price.

To answer your question, this time of year it's Steelhead that we fish for in the Rogue. If you don't know what those are, they are basically rainbow trout that have gone out to the ocean for a few years, got really big and came back to breed. Once that's all done, they go back out to the ocean for a while. There are also chinook salmon in the river as well as plain ol' rainbow trout. With all of this being said, I didn't even fish. I decided, since I was that far south in Oregon, it was a great idea to travel down to the Redwoods in Northern California. I've never seen them so it was my chance to do so.

This thread was just what i've been trying to find with pics on a 48" tank
I'm thinking about getting one of the Photon 32's for my 120. I like the pic on page
11 do you know what % you had the blues and whites set at and do you notice it
being much darker on the ends. Did you get it with the default layout or did you do
    a custom layout.
