Here is what I am working with right now. I'm going today to pick up some LR rubble from a local reefer to get more life going on my rocks. I know the bacteria from denitrification will appear on it's own but I really like the other little critters that come in on live rock. The pictures are a little bland but here ya go!

Well I guess I'm going to make this my official build thread. So here we go.

    Equipment:
Tank 4x2x2 with dual overflow. (aga)
    Lighting 2 x 175 Watt MH (may change to 2 x 400)
    Sump is 48 x 30 x 20 tall
Skimmer is a 5 yr old Reef Octopus (8 inch body)
I'm going to grow chaeto in the sump. Right now, it is under a 150 Hqi. I will probably swap the 150 to a standard clamp lamp and use the MH for my future seahorse tank.

Just did a "semi" water test. Ammonia = 0, Nitrite = 0, Nitrate = 5 PPM. Looks like the bio spira has done it's job.

Just a daily update here. I ran the big 3 tests again today. Nitrate still somewhere between 5 AND 10. Ammonia and Nitrite at 0. I think I am going to add a couple of fish. I do have some prime and bio spira on hand as well as 50 gallons of water just in the case I have to do a quick WC.

Numbers are still looking good on this tank. Skimmer is doing it's job and pulling out a bunch of gunk. (I've been putting fish food in the tank once per day to feed nothing) It still looks like we are going to get away without a cycle on this one. I'm starting to think about what I want to stock it with as far as fish go. I was thinking something like this:
    1. Flame Fin Tang
    2. Gold Stripe Maroon Clown
    3. 4 Blue Reef Chromis
    4. Flame Angel
    5. Sunburst Anthias
    6. Maybe an Atlantic Blue Tang (Doubtful though)
    7. Tiger Jawfish

What do you guys think? Is that too much?

Update: Still no ammonia. I have added a small blue damsel (I know they are mean) and a couple of soft coral. Everything is looking pretty good.
