I like your stocking list. Very varied and interesting.....I'm not familiar with a flame fin tang (will look it up) but sounds pretty. I love maroon clowns.

I love tangs. They are my absolute favorite and I can't think of one I don't like. My favorite is the clown tang but I would never attempt one in a tank this small. Someday I will have a much bigger tank and will be able to keep a clown. Until then, tomini it is!

Not a whole lot to report. Since I didn't have much of a cycle, I have tossed a couple of corals I received from a buddy in the tank. They are sort of my "canary in the mine". I also have a little blue damsel in the tank. So far, the corals are: Green Birdsnest, Hairy Mushroom and pulsing xenia. Everything looks really good and is responding really well. Disclaimer: I have been in this hobby for quite a while and have quite a bit of experience starting new systems. Please do not attempt coral this soon unless you are willing to set yourself up for failure!

Oh.....as far as the health of the tank goes, all numbers are pretty good. I'm still at 0 Ammonia and Nitrite and about 10 PPM Nitrate. I do have quite the diatome bloom going on right now. Typical for a tank this young. I'm certain this will go away over the next couple of weeks. My macros are also showing pretty good growth. I will post pictures tomorrow of the wonderful diatome farm I've got.

About 3 weeks now. CUC is working their butts off and I did a WC yesterday. Everything looks fine. It has been a very long time since I have had to look at a diatome bloom though. Ugly ugly ugly!

It is a dry heat, yeah right !

Yeah it makes you remember why you have to tell new hobbyist to be patient. It seems like it takes months to resolve when in actuality it's a couple weeks if your lucky.

Sounds like you'e moving right along.

No kidding. I find myself staring at 4 corals and a damsel. It's going to be a lot of fun. I went through photobucket yesterday looking at pics of my old tanks. That was real motivation.
