Yea!! You got a tang! I got a tomini yesterday....kind of a rough start since the box was on my porch until I got home from work and it was around 40 most of the day....Knock on wood, seems to have rebounded pretty good and it's nice to have an algae grazing fish again!

Mine was in the tank for an hour....I fed the tank a little flake food and he was out and all over it. He is also already picking at the rock. I think he is liking the diatoms which is fine by me. he's a cool little guy. I was going to get a tomini but this little guy just blew me away. Their adult colors are killer as well.

I've seen the mimics before and I remember that about them in terms of the coloration. Nice add!

    Pics of New Addition

So here he is. Not quite sure of a name yet but I'm sure my daughter will come up with something amazing. Speaking of my daughter, this fish listens about as well as she does. I told him to sit still for a pic and he moved faster....

It's been a few days since I updated this thread. I got quite a bit of stuff to go in the tank yesterday. It was all freebies so if anything happens, no bid deal. I understand the risk. Here is what I have added:
    1. Sunset Montipora
    2. Idaho Grape Montipora
    3. Red Montipora Cap
    4. 2 x ricordea
    5. GSP

Everything is looking good. Polyps are out on the sunset. The piece was a bit bleached when I got it but it will come around.

Good stuff man ... Can't kill GSP no matter how hard you try. The other SPS is pretty hardy. Good luck with it.

So im going through diatom still too. Question, do you clean it or just let it build up? I have been cleaning my glass and sifting the sand because I cant stand it being dirty, but that doesn't prolong the process does it?

I blow some of it off with a turkey baster because it makes really good coral food. With this being said, I don't think it matters either way. I'm pretty excited though because there are a couple of white spots in my sump where I was messin around and wiped the diatoms off a couple of days ago. They haven't come back yet. Most of the stuff I have now, I believe, is just residual!

    update

    Update:
Diatoms are about 50% of what they were yesterday and I'm seeing spots of coralline. (third pic from the left). The tank is looking really good. I did have a little bit of an issue this morning as my float switch got stuck open and emptied my entire reservoir into the tank. With this being said, it was only about 20 gallons at 3 gph. It really didn't affect anything. With this being said, there are some pics of my tank. My mimic tang decided to do a headstand for you guys =)
