my official 65gal aga build thread

I read that you go to petco. Work of advice is not to buy fish from there. Not sure how your petco is but I have gotten 2 fish from them before and I brought ich with those fish. My stores set up is dirty most times too. Its ok to buy equipment, just not fish; imho.

 

you must have miss read or i miss typed i will not suport them at all.
a funny store i got my 1st 10gal there and was so unhappy when i went to go get fish me and my dad returned every thing and told them to clean it up or he would have them shut down

me and my dad refer to them as killco and nastymart lol

my local fish store has been more help now that the owner is now back

to day i moded my asm g-3 with a gate valve

ya thanks bo i will be getting 100 dollars cuz i bet my mom that it wont be set up this year lol. now my parents are wanting to have it custom made. at this point i would not care if it was sitting on a card board box

how deep will the water be with your skimmer on that stand?? looks good i like the idea of the filter sock .... oh and with the refractometer I got mine of ebay but it looks the same just make sure you properly calibrate it and its alot more accurate than a hydrometer lol btw if u look through it into the light you just read the numbers on the left

 

well i dont understand it at all or how to calibrate it so i will be going to the lfs for help

tomorrow the cabinet place is open so i will be going up there to get that started. also has any one used a marine varnish?? you use it after you stain the wood to protect it from sw they use it on wood boats.

also i got argentite sand the one above sugersized

for my live rock i want to do 75% base rock where is the best place for that
i have heard reef-cleaners.com or brs.com

also i want to recerc mod my asm any one have any info on that and the one that uses two pumps


i know it has been so long but the tank will start going to fast from here

 

john at reef cleaners has some great rock, along with awsome prices. If you dont like his stuff take a look at marco rocks.
