So, when I'm not working on my fish tank or doing technical support (my "real" job), here is another one of my hobbies....
    Cakes!

I've never watched Cake Boss, but I like Ace of Cakes... granted some of his cakes are more building material than cake...

Thanks Kacy... I thought they were okay... I'm not a big cake person so I don't eat the cakes I make. I did another one for today, but didn't upload the picture yet.

Too funny! Was just talking about wanting to learn how to decorate cakes this weekend, however I dont have the patience or the dexterity to do the fine details of it!

When I was growing up my mother took cake decorating classes. The classes were weekly, and we got to eat her homework! Well, at first that was awesome, however it quickly got to the point that the thought of another piece of cake made us sick! The cakes got bigger and bigger, and the icing got thicker and thicker!

Very cool cakes that you have made!

The slot machine one was fun... the lever actually moved and it was ediable. It was a pretzel rod.

Everything on the fish cake, including the seashells and the worm is edible as well. I don't make cakes that are not completly ediable. Seashells, flowers, jewels... all made from sugar and formed/baked
