Ok, I finally found some spare time to put this together.
I built the stand stronger than necessary, as well as a little lower than normal.
The stand is only 24" high which allows me to stand in front of it and do any and all maintenance tasks without getting on a clumsy stool ;D
I was able to do this because the tank has a closet in the wall behind it that i'm using as a mini fish room.
When i'm done I plan on having one of those 5' bean bag chairs to just hang out on and watch the tank.
Ok , enough talk, here are some pics

Built it with 4x4's notched out to fit together. all the joints were glued and screwed with 3 inch deck screws.

Doing the aquascaping, notice the eggcrate under the rock. I trimmed it to only be as wide as the rockwork, then used the excess to create 4 1" wide strips to raise the eggcrate off the bottom by 3/4". once that was done I filled it all in with sand, placed the rockwork and then added the last 20lbs around it.

    That's a very pretty stand! :)

I was about to warn you about it being too low to the ground, and no need for a center brace (especially with 4x4's); but then I read how you will have a fish room behind the tank. That's great! No need to consider what might not fit under the stand, or access issues with the center brace.

So everything is going behind the wall then? Sump, skimmer. ..everything?

    Nice work. :)

man you guys are fast :)

yes, everything is behind the wall, you can see the opening in one of the pics, i will cover that when i make a lightweight open top canapy to frame the top of the tank

oh yeah, the coral skeletons in the fuge I have had for years and added them to encourage a pod population. the red one in the middle is full of hollow tubes for them to hide in and breed.

PS. thanks for the karma guys :)
