I don't get it. It only puts out .5 GPM. It would take 15 min to fill up my 7 gal jug.

Thanks for the input - I appreciate it

To bad! Tankless would have its benefits.

My QT warehouse had more than 10,000 gallons in it. That's substantially more than most stores have all together. A Merlin (with a dual DI attached) was able to satisfy all our needs.

I don't understand the concept of tankless...what's the difference between that and your generic RO/DI system?

This is a difficult decision---Makes me feel like I am wasting my money if I go with the Spectra pure but it also seems like the nicest unit.

I wouldn't look at it as wasting money. You can't overkill the quality of water you put into the tanks that hold all your liquid assets.

    Pun intended;)

It's just water on demand. Because it has two RO membranes, you don't have to wait a long time for water. I had ball valves and I could top off both fish QT systems and the coral QT system. However, I also had a 2000 g polyethlene storage tank too so in effect I used it "tankless" at times and "tanked" at other times.

Well, the Merlin with dual add-on DI was a MAJOR improvement of what they had before. When we built the QT W/H we moved the Merlin back there and had a Spectrapure for the store. It is much more efficient.
